Midwest Made, Kansas City-based record label and lifestyle brand, kicked off its inception with a free concert and party on April 29th at Bodie’s on Pine in Warrensburg, MO, hometown to label CEO Steven Cooper. The event showcased local talent while celebrating a sense of community among urban music artists in the region. Midwest Made was blown away by the amount of organic buzz leading up to and surrounding the event, with attendees traveling from all over the Midwest, as well as the coasts, to enjoy performances from several up-and-coming Midwest rap artists including JonJonBaby, Bills, Amadeus King, Landes Plane, surprise guest Xta-C, and Cooper himself. This event also served as the announcement of the label’s first release “From Dat (Era)” by rapper Artistic Genius (A.G.), which drops May 19th on music streaming stores everywhere.
Midwest Made also took the opportunity that night to debut the first pieces in their new merchandise line, which will be an instrumental part of the brand’s business model, and had those items available for retail sale during the show. Several excited attendees even changed into their purchased logo apparel immediately to show support for the company throughout the evening.
Midwest Made was thrilled with the launch party turnout and is thankful for the immense community and industry support they’re already experiencing.
Overall, the event was a perfect representation of the kind of diversity, inclusivity, and energy the brand hopes to infuse into all of its endeavors.
